Week #28: Thor: The Dark World (11/04/13-11/11/13)

On Monday I woke up at 7:45 am to register for classes for Spring 2014! It's weird that I can register from November 4th when I'm not in the Honors College because the only ones that can register this early for classes are the ones in athletics and Honors College. I think I'm able to register this early because of the number of credits I enrolled with and my current GPA. Chemistry was really a drag, every class makes me realize even more how little I'll use chemistry when I grow up. I had an American Studies test today and I think I did pretty well. I met up with Courtney before calculus to finish our calculus homework and we finished! Well, I finished. Well, actually I did a little bit over 90% but I'm really ok with that. At 7:30 I went to the Engineers Without Borders meeting to talk about the color run and met someone from Honduras, and we bonded a bit, her name's Rina. She noticed I was latino when I rolled my tongue for the R in her name.

On Tuesday we had to hand in our midterm report for project #2 for Foundations of Engineering lab and we didn't know, lucky us our professor is awesome any gave us until this Friday to hand it in. I went to the library to do my chemistry homework and did a great amount without getting distracted or buying Starbucks! Today I had my last class of foundations of engineering! I'll have more relaxing weeks now ahead, after foundations I met up with Ricardo and Victoria to discuss what we were going to do for the chemistry lab and we are totally lost. I began watching Grey's Anatomy in mid September and now am in the 9th season, this is the last season Netflix has and I'm kind of sad :( Grey's Anatomy has been so intense! I definitely love this series.

On Wednesday I had good ol' french toasts for breakfast :D chemistry was boring as usual as well as american studies. At noon I went to a leadership lunchtime, which should be my last if I did my math right and the spokesman told us something that really made me think hard, he told us to work or in this case learn for a challenge not for passion, he says that if you are good in something you should keep doing it because being good will make you wanna love it. He does makes sense and that makes me more secure with my major choice actually. After calculus I met up with Chad and Nick and we did a pretty good job, we decided to do my idea for project #2. For project #2 we have to design either a household tool or a children's toy and my idea was a slinky hanging from the ceiling with your phone stick to it, that way if you wanna text someone in the middle of the night you don't have to reach to your nightstand or find your phone through your sheets.

Thursday, this is the real day I look up to every Monday because these are my easy days. We successfully finished the lab knowing exactly what to do, I feel bad though because I feel Victoria is the one doing all the smart stuff (calculations and graphs), Ricardo is the good one with the Spectrometer's software, and I'm just writing the data down. I feel so useless, then again, I'm bad a chemistry so I've always been useless. After lab Victoria and I stop by the Samsung kiosk that's been on campus the whole week giving cellphones, tablets, gift cards and accessories. I feel like I went for nothing because all I got was a speaker, what I really wanted was the gift cards.

On Friday I had Jamba Juice for lunch, I like having smoothies for lunch but Jamba Juice is so freaking expensive! a $6.90 smoothie are you serious? Might as well buy 3 orders of chicken nuggets at Chick-Fil-A! One of the reasons I wanna got to Panama so bad is to finally try out my brand new bullet blender that's been waiting for me since August. At 2:30 I met up with Courtney and went to the movies at AMC! We saw Thor and it was so fun! We didn't have one single awkward moment, I love her :) The movie was awesome too, it was so unexpected; omg I just love Loki. We got lost a couple of times haha but it was a fun evening :)

Courtney as a Mickey in her car! It's
so cute!

YouTube Daily Shoutout #21 - Vlogs

So here are the Vlogs I've been addicted to for months! My first Vlog was It's Judy's Life, it's about the life of Judy, her husband Benji and Julianna. The Vlog started way before Julianna was born, it started as a Vlog for Judy and Benji's married life. So here is one of my favorite videos:

Another Vlog that I've became addicted this past week is Daily Bumps which is about a couple who are having a baby boy, and previously tried to have a baby but there were some complications. I think Bryan (husband) is hilarious and Missy (wife) is so adorable. This video I'm posting is about Missy's maternity shoot. I liked this video because I like photography and this shoot came out spectacular.

A third Vlog I'm watching right now is from Anthony and Kalel. Yes, Anthony Padilla from Smosh. They are a couple, and now engaged and this Vlog started recently about two weeks ago or so. They are such a cute couple and definitely funny. The Vlog is called Watch Us Live and Stuff. And the video below is about one of their trips to Japan, and I couldn't stop laughing about Anthony's expression in the toilet.

And this is a Vlog I discovered TODAY! It's about a gay couple who are now engaged and are planning their wedding! And in this Vlog they explain common questions people have towards a gay marriage, or relationship, or a gay wedding. I find it very interesting because I did had those questions and I'm so happy for them because they are getting married.

YouTube Daily Shoutout #18

I'm coming to the realization that I'm becoming such a YouTube addict! I don't know if that's good or bad, but I'm sure entertaining myself on those dull days. So here are some interesting videos I found:

I kind of knew this already from my PSY 2012 course, but lately I've been having such a bad sleeping habit. Here are some tips you may wanna know about your power naps.

And also some "Amazing Facts to Blow your Mind", I love these.

And finally some info about productivity, I really like this channel :)

YouTube Daily Shoutout #14

This guy is awesome! Not only he plays guitar with one hand but he can also bounce a basketball while playing. Awesomeness in 54 seconds.

Toyota is going to donate up to 1000000 meals depending on this video's views, to the affected on the Hurricane Sandy incident in New York.

This looks like a cool project. To make a Coke or any kind of drink into a slushy. The down part is that you have to wait a little bit more than three hours.

YouTube Daily Shoutout #10

Again with my guilty pleasure: The Ellen Show. I didn't know she did this in her show, there's a couple of these in YouTube. Here Ellen shows embarrassing pictures she found in Facebook from here audience.

I think Starbucks is totally overrated, but I do like their brand. I mean, the coffee is overrated but I love to buy their souvenirs haha. Here are 7 things you didn't know about Starbucks :)

I love Anthony and Kalel together, and here's a collaboration they made with Joey Graceffa. This video is a Pokemon Challenge. If it were me I would have lost after Pikachu, Squirtle, Bulbasour and Charmander. Btw. Kalel and Anthony have a new Vlog called "Watch us live and stuff", it just opened like 6 days ago.

YouTube Daily Shoutout #8

So I was watching The Fine Bro's videos of Teens React and found one about their reaction to a video called After Ever After by a user named Paint. I went to the original clip and absolutely loved it. You can see in the video that the whole thing was shoot in ONLY ONE take. He had perfect timing for every little peep and also has a great voice. His lyrics were also funny... in conclusion: I love this guy, and this is why the shotout is all about him.

The second video, who's also his, is a mash up of songs. Btw. he's not gay, I thought so at the beginning but he stated he wasn't.

And the third and final video is another song written by him about villain's lives.

YouTube Daily Shoutout #6

As a Harry Potter fan this was very funny. I never thought about a musical draw my life lol, but this was very cool.

I'm also a Friends fan and as many of you wish for a comeback this is as big a comeback you'll get, hopefully for now.

I love people who are not afraid to embarrass themselves to make other people happy! Recently I did that on a cruise ship's elevator with my cousin and we made laugh tons of people! I like making people laugh.

YouTube Daily Shoutout #2

So, I love to watch Ellen videos on Youtube! Specially those including really talented kids, like this one. This one is about a kid who's a truly expert on geography. Here Ellen puts him to the test.

I saw this video about 4 years ago, and it never gets old. I love fairytale weddings, and proposals and all that kinda shit. However, this proposal tops everyone I've ever seen.

It's the first time I hear about Troye Sivan, and in this video he talks about 5 ways to make friends. It's really funny :)
