I STARTED A RAW DIET (Raw #1)

As you read in this week's post I decided to sail into the raw food world, I don't plan on being a full time raw vegetarian but I do intend to have at least one raw meal a day.
This week I went to the super market and bought a bunch of fruits, nuts and veggies, and also whip cream and peanut butter since I don't like the veggies and fruits alone (which is going to be a real struggle since this is a raw diet). I also bought a blender in Target for jut $20! It's one of those personal blenders that the blending cup is also the drinking cup, it's called Bella.
I plan to drink at least one smoothie per day as a meal, and I'll try to put as many veggies as I can. And some of the ingredients for the smoothie I'll get them from the dining halls for free hehe.

All this raw diet inspiration came from a Youtube channel called FullyRawKristina, where she explains what to expect, how to start, recipes, and what to buy. That channel helped me a lot! I'm basically doing this diet based on that channel.

Here are some videos from Fully Raw Kristina:

This one was essential for me since it talks about how to be fully raw while in college. I'm not going to be fully raw so it doesn't apply in its totality for me but it still inspired me.

This video has tips on how to start a fully raw diet, this was the first video I saw from Fully Raw Kristina and from there it was like a snowball watching all of her videos.

Week #13 (07/22/2013 - 07/28/2013) - Last Week of Classes!

Monday was 2013's most royal day, William and Kate welcomed their first child, a boy. I'll look back someday and will be able to say that I was alive when the future king of England was born. I was born when Beyonce's first child was born. I was born when the first black President took the office. I'm glad I've been born for these events instead of the WWI and the WWII. Monday has been a homework day. I have a trigonometry midterm on Tuesday and I have not paid attention to any class, wish me luck. I also reconnected with Grace, a couple of weeks ago I greet her through Facebook and it appeared that she saw it but never responded. I wrote to her today to have a safe flight and she said she had not seen the previews messages, so I was relieved. We talked for an hour or so and I really like her. I wish she was my roommate instead of the new one, I wish Hannah was still my roommate. I finished reading "Percy Jackson and the Titan's Curse" by Rick Riordan over the weekend and I rate it 5 stars :) Right now I'm reading the book #4: "Percy Jackson and the Battle of the Labyrinth".

Tuesday I was totally lost in precalculus, I got a 12/15 in my Essay #3, and did a trigonometry midterm. Busy day. After that I went to Rod's house and did a Smoothie Challenge! Well not me but Rod and Alfonso, how fun?! After making the video Rod and Alfonso played LOL, I even played a game. We ate Burger King for dinner and they messed up our other, surprise. Today was a good day, the smoothie video was hilarious and gross at the same time.

Men will be men.

On Wednesday I went out with Alejandra and Ambar, we went for lunch at a Chinese "fondita" and it was the one I'm disgusted with. I had some noodles and steak, it wasn't very good but the dumplings compensated it. Ambar's dad gave her money to pay for everything, he's an awesome dad, and then we decided to go to Yogurt Factory and make our own yogurt. I did a mixture of blueberry, strawberry and pina colada yogurt with Oreos and chocolate chips. Memo to myself: hold the chocolate chips next time. When we were in line to pay a guy approached to me asking if I knew a Rodolfo Naranjo, and I was like yeah, and he said your boyfriend right? and I said yeah, hmm who are you? And he said just a friend of his. He looked like he was working on a vending machine truck, but he looked too young to be the owner or whatever. I told Ambar to take a picture of him to send to Rod to ask him who he was, and he had no idea. That was so creepy. On our way back to El Dorado I made a wrong turn and we ended up in a highway toll, and to use the highway you need to have a highway card which I don't have. I got into the recharge lane and I was praying for them to sell cards at the toll, I asked if they sold any cards in here and she sais YES, and I started cheering yay! And the toll lady cheered with us, how funny! Back home I got a friend request of a guy named Harvi Castro, and I looked into his pictures and it looked like the creepy guy from Yogurt Factory so I told Rod about it and he was like "oh yeah, now I remember. I used to play Call of Duty with him but suddenly he dropped out of school and disappeared for like three months". That totally scared me more. I also met another classmate from USF through Facebook, he's from Pakistan and was asking me questions about the meal plans and stuff.

On Thursday I got to talk a little bit more with Hamza (my USF classmate from Pakistan) and he was pretty charismatic. He's also going to USF knowing nobody so if we get to hang out we can make each other company :) Last day of classes finally! I didn't understand a thing in precalculus, I got home for lunch because we were dismissed early from English and trigonometry was a torture. I got a 67 in my trigonometry midterm :( After classes I hung out with Alex to catch up, we had not talk in a long long time. I also finished "Percy Jackson and the Battle of the Labyrinth" by  Rick Riordan, and again 5 stars for the Percy Jackson series. So now I'm reading "Percy Jackson and the Last Olympian" the 5th and last book, this will be interesting. It already started with love complications haha.

Friday began with stress. I'm so stressed out. I'm gonna do an Extra Credit for precalculus but it turned out to be very hard so I'm stressing out. Also I need to make up my grade for trigonometry or else I might get a C on that course, and I understand little to nothing about what's coming on my precalculus final. I'm freaking out and can't focus, therefore I'm procrastinating.

YouTube Daily Shoutout #27

I'm in love with John Stamos. I'm obsessed with Full House. And guess what? Jesse and the Rippers "reunited" for a segment on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon! I couldn't stop screaming from the excitement. First it was Jesse, and Danny and at the end Rebecca kissed Jesse like if they were a real couple. Also from the band the only one I recognized was Gary, he's bald now haha.

YouTube Daily Shoutout #26

This first video is a cover of the song Animal of Miike Snow by Brandon and Leah. Brandon's father is Bruce Jenner, former Olympic and father of the Kardashian and Jenner kids. Leah's that was the guitarist of The Eagles. They got married and started doing music. Brandon's voice is so beautiful while Leah's is so unique and delicate.

This second video is a from Anthony (smosh) and Kalel. They are making some drawings to people who send them stuff, and the drawings are totally improvised. I laugh a lot from these two.

And last is a video I uploaded. It's from the Farewell Presentation we did at school, and these are the girls from my class dancing some traditional Chinese Dancing, a friend of mine doing a Kung Fu routine, ending with some modern dancing. They created the choreography from scratch and it turned out really good.

YouTube Daily Shoutout #25

This first video is a cover of "Landslide" by Beatrice Miller. I wanted her to win the X Factor because she has a very unique voice, I don't like her attitude though. She's may be that way but 13 year old girls trying to be tough guys and cursing and stuff.. Not what I'm used to. But no judging. Her voice is amazing and I can't wait for her album to release.

This a a slide show of Missy and Bryan's maternity photos from a vlog I watch: Daily Bumps. I'm making a shout out to this video because I loved how the pictures turned out and I hope I can be such a good photographer and maybe make a career of it one day. I loved how the sunset shots turned out, I guess it was the perfect day at the perfect time in the perfect place.

And this is a HISHE (How it Should Have Ended) video about Man of Steel. I love these videos, I spent a whole afternoon watching them.

YouTube Daily Shoutout #22

This is a Draw My Poem I did about a poem I wrote (undergroundp.blogspot.com). I really liked how this video turned out :)

I'm beginning to like animated videos, and this one was a little sad but beautiful. I almost shed a tear. This video was made by Sam from Youtube.

YouTube Daily Shoutout #21 - Vlogs

So here are the Vlogs I've been addicted to for months! My first Vlog was It's Judy's Life, it's about the life of Judy, her husband Benji and Julianna. The Vlog started way before Julianna was born, it started as a Vlog for Judy and Benji's married life. So here is one of my favorite videos:

Another Vlog that I've became addicted this past week is Daily Bumps which is about a couple who are having a baby boy, and previously tried to have a baby but there were some complications. I think Bryan (husband) is hilarious and Missy (wife) is so adorable. This video I'm posting is about Missy's maternity shoot. I liked this video because I like photography and this shoot came out spectacular.

A third Vlog I'm watching right now is from Anthony and Kalel. Yes, Anthony Padilla from Smosh. They are a couple, and now engaged and this Vlog started recently about two weeks ago or so. They are such a cute couple and definitely funny. The Vlog is called Watch Us Live and Stuff. And the video below is about one of their trips to Japan, and I couldn't stop laughing about Anthony's expression in the toilet.

And this is a Vlog I discovered TODAY! It's about a gay couple who are now engaged and are planning their wedding! And in this Vlog they explain common questions people have towards a gay marriage, or relationship, or a gay wedding. I find it very interesting because I did had those questions and I'm so happy for them because they are getting married.

YouTube Daily Shoutout #18

I'm coming to the realization that I'm becoming such a YouTube addict! I don't know if that's good or bad, but I'm sure entertaining myself on those dull days. So here are some interesting videos I found:

I kind of knew this already from my PSY 2012 course, but lately I've been having such a bad sleeping habit. Here are some tips you may wanna know about your power naps.

And also some "Amazing Facts to Blow your Mind", I love these.

And finally some info about productivity, I really like this channel :)

YouTube Daily Shoutout #16 - Science

I found this channel that uploads videos about scientific questions we are curios about because we experience it in our daily life. I love the old school animated videos in which you just draw with markers on a white board. This first video is about the Snooze Button. Should we press it? Does it make us sleepier or does it actually help us wake up?

The second video from the same channel is about Why Do We Cry? You know the different reasons like from happiness, pain, sadness or allergies; and this video explains a little more deeper about our tears and the reasons why we actually cry.

And the last video has nothing to do with science in our daily lives but I totally rocked this song. It's a song mentioning all the elements of the periodic table, and one day when my life comes to nothing but procrastination I'll try to learn it, pinky swear!

If you wanna see more about this channel click here, here! HERE :D it's called Science ASAP.

YouTube Daily Shoutout #15 - Education

I found this video uploaded a couple of months ago about a student that teaches his teacher a lesson. Well, the teacher was pretty mind close and that's a reality students have to face. Teachers are close minded to their own beliefs and are oblivious to our opinions and facts. This guy told the teacher what needed to be heard, and she just told him to get out never giving him the benefit of doubt. I have personal experience with these kinds of teachers and I absolutely dislike them.

Here's the news' interview with the guy:

And here's an old video that I watched months ago that really, REALLY touched my heart. That's all I've got to say, this video is the truth.

YouTube Daily Shoutout #14

This guy is awesome! Not only he plays guitar with one hand but he can also bounce a basketball while playing. Awesomeness in 54 seconds.

Toyota is going to donate up to 1000000 meals depending on this video's views, to the affected on the Hurricane Sandy incident in New York.

This looks like a cool project. To make a Coke or any kind of drink into a slushy. The down part is that you have to wait a little bit more than three hours.

YouTube Daily Shoutout #13

This is kind of old, but it's really funny. It's a "Kids React to Smosh", and then a "Smosh React to Kids React to Smosh" hahaha.

The Asian kid was really really creepy haha, I guess that's just raw imagination. Also the girl who dislikes Smosh.. That's the beginning of a bitchy teenager.

YouTube Daily Shoutout #12

This is from the Vlog I watch (It's Judy's Life). She also has a beauty channel and this is her putting make up on her husband Benji. Men have no idea the things women do for beauty and I can assure you every men would complain as much, or even more than Benji.

I love The Fresh Prince of Bel Air! This was so EPIC.

YouTube Daily Shoutout #10

Again with my guilty pleasure: The Ellen Show. I didn't know she did this in her show, there's a couple of these in YouTube. Here Ellen shows embarrassing pictures she found in Facebook from here audience.

I think Starbucks is totally overrated, but I do like their brand. I mean, the coffee is overrated but I love to buy their souvenirs haha. Here are 7 things you didn't know about Starbucks :)

I love Anthony and Kalel together, and here's a collaboration they made with Joey Graceffa. This video is a Pokemon Challenge. If it were me I would have lost after Pikachu, Squirtle, Bulbasour and Charmander. Btw. Kalel and Anthony have a new Vlog called "Watch us live and stuff", it just opened like 6 days ago.

YouTube Daily Shoutout #9

This was a challenge to myself; I wasn't really listening to the YouTubers reaction, rather focusing myself on not trying to laugh. I think I loose it at the second video. It's a must watch for when you need a little laugh.

I LOVE DESPICABLE ME! And it's so awesome that they are releasing a second movie. I'm such a child at heart and I laughed a lot with this video. I just love stupid cartoon videos. I can't wait for so many movies (cartoon ones) coming out.

YouTube Daily Shoutout #7

Lately I've been watching a lot of Vlogs and one of the most addicting I've seen is called Its Judy's Life, which is about a couple and their newly born baby's life.

Last time I posted a Draw My Life video of Harry Potter, now this one is about Kim Jong Un (is it spelled that way?). I don't really know about this man, besides that is not a very loved man in his country.

I don't hate Honey Boo Boo, but I do am disgusted with her mom and her attitude. Ugh it's just horrible. In this video is the reaction from kids towards Honey Boo Boo's reality show.

And finally some Jacksgap. I love making people laugh and this was a great idea, already put it on the bucket list.

This past weekend I've been Youtubing all day long. On saturday I woke up at 2 on the afternoon and did nothing but to watch videos on YouTube, and then on Sunday I did the same with the only difference that I woke up at 3:30 in the afternoon. Now it's midnight and I have to do my homework yay.. Thank God I don't have classes on Monday.

YouTube Daily Shoutout #5

I loved to play with dominoes, not the traditional way, but the way where is a maze and you push one and one after one follows. I used to do that a lot in my childhood, sometimes I even filled the room with plastic rectangles (not dominoes because plastic rectangles were cheaper). So here's a video of it, but instead of dominoes or cheap plastic rectangles, they do it with iPhones! It was insane because they even used the elevator and also the iPhone's screen.

Second video of the day is HILARIOUS! It's from JacksGap with collaboration from Sam. They get in an elevator and do pranks all day. Their pranks are freaking hilarious. You ought to watch it.

And finally some Smosh! Smosh is pretty great because one: they are funny, and two: they upload videos every week or so. Recently I've been watching Anthony's girlfriend Kalel's Video Blogs, I think I have a little crush in Anthony ha ha; that may be why I watch it so much. Either way, it's Smosh! so obviously is funny.

YouTube Daily Shoutout #4

This week is Comedy Week in YouTube! Here is one video I loved which is done in a subway. This video is not actually highlighted on the Comedy Week, but it's the user who is. If you are a fan of Star Wars, subways or laughter, watch it!

Following is another video (this one does appear on the Comedy Week highlights) and is a video (musical) about YouTube history. This year YouTube turns 8! Round of applause!

My guilty pleasure is to watch Ellen DeGeneres videos on YouTube, and I think this is far the best interview Ellen has ever had. Zac Efron and Taylor Swift do a song on the set and is turned out AWESOME! Is kind of a parody song. This is a MUST WATCH VIDEO.

YouTube Daily Shoutout #3

I found this Ellen video in which Neil Patrick Harris (Barney Stinson from "How I Met Your Mother") talked about his amazing 40th birthday planned by his fiance. This birthday was Legen.. wait for it.. DARY! Wow you've got to see it.

This video was cool because you can make one yourself, like if you are going on a trip (which I'll definitely to when I'll go to Seattle), or of your own house; to have a memory of where have you been and what did it meant. Now, the video made me a little dizzy, but the concept is pretty nice.

I couldn't find this video in search but here's the link: click me!
This video may be old but is for all the Harry Potter fans :) It's a documentary of Daniel Radcliffe and is pretty complete, it lasts over 40 minutes. The link I posted has the complete documentary on one video, unlike others that are separated in parts. The video talks about Daniel's life before, during and after Harry Potter. I still love and will forever love those books and movies.

Here's the link again if you don't want to scroll up: click me!

YouTube Daily Shoutout #2

So, I love to watch Ellen videos on Youtube! Specially those including really talented kids, like this one. This one is about a kid who's a truly expert on geography. Here Ellen puts him to the test.

I saw this video about 4 years ago, and it never gets old. I love fairytale weddings, and proposals and all that kinda shit. However, this proposal tops everyone I've ever seen.

It's the first time I hear about Troye Sivan, and in this video he talks about 5 ways to make friends. It's really funny :)
